Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) is a hereditary, progressive retinal degeneration in both eyes. Night blindness, usu- ally in childhood, is followed by loss of peripheral vision (initially as ring-shaped de- fect). It progresses over many years to tunnel vision and then blindness.
