Bio: Mark Kapperman received his doctorate of optometry in 1987 from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN after attending the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. He was voted Outstanding Senior by his classmates and received Outstanding Senior Clinician Award. He is a Past President of the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians and was named Young Optometrist of the year in 1991. Dr. Kapperman is a member of the Tennessee Academy of Optometry and serves as an Administrator for Vision Source in Southeast Tennessee and Northwest. He serves as Adjunct professor for Southern College of Optometry mentoring senior student interns and serves on the Advisory Board for the Hayes Center for Practice Excellence. He has presented several guest lectures at various optometric events primarily speaking on optometric practice and business management. Dr. Kapperman founded Kapperman, White and McGarvey Vision Source in April of 1988 as one of the very first businesses on Gunbarrel Road. He is committed to local missions volunteering for Ronald McDonald Room, Volunteers in Medicine and Mustard Tree Ministries. He has completed 17 Christian eye care mission trips to several different Central American countries.
